The Hollywood Foundation Team in Gauteng rolled up their sleeves for a Special Project in June. The Team paid a visit to Daveyton Association for the Physically Disabled on 14 June 2022, to hand over a greenhouse to the organisation which assists physically disabled individuals with psychosocial services and art work.
Daveyton Association for the Physically Disabled was established in 2002. The Purple Team chose to contribute a greenhouse after the organisation was nominated by the East Rand Area Manager. The Team was more than thrilled to come to the aid of the organisation, as the greenhouse will help to make life easier in terms of protecting the vegetation from natural disasters.
Reginah Siwela, an Administrator at the Daveyton Association for the Physically Disabled, said their hopes and goals is to teach people independence, entrepreneurship skills and also create job opportunities. She added that the greenhouse will also make a meaningful impact on the community at large.
