Hollywoodbets Newcastle chose to support Asimthande Disability Initiative as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

Asimthande Disability Initiative
The centre was opened in 2017 to enrol learners who are visually impaired. The centre also works with people across all the different grades of visual problems. They provide accommodation for learners who come from all different provinces and for those coming from the Newcastle area. All beneficiaries are provided with meals and a place to sleep.
The Team from Hollywoodbets Newcastle heard about the great initiative and decided to support the centre by donating a JoJo tank and 11 mattresses to the cause.
The centre expressed their gratitude for the help.
“The donation of the JoJo tank will be very helpful since water tends to run out around the area and water stored in the JoJo tank will be useful during that unexpected time,” said Duncan Magubane, Manager of the centre.
