Hollywood Foundation Siyakhula U15 Cup Celebrates Five Years of Nurturing Young Football Talent

The sixth edition of the Hollywood Foundation Siyakhula U15 Cup, in partnership with the AmaZulu Community Trust, promises another exciting festival of youth football when teams compete at Berea Rovers College on 17–18 October 2026.

The tournament draw was conducted on Wednesday, 14 October, at the AmaZulu Fan Experience, Moses Mabhida Stadium, setting the stage for two days of competitive football across the boys’ U15, girls’ and schools’ categories.

With the tournament celebrating five years of creating opportunities for emerging football talent, this year’s edition will see teams battle for honours while aiming to dethrone the defending champions in their respective categories.

Action International return to defend their boys’ U15 title. In the girls’ category, Adams Academy will look to retain their crown, while Masibambane High School of Folweni enter the schools’ category as defending champions.

Hollywood Foundation, Senior Sponsorship Coordinator Menzi Ngcobo, reflected on the value of the partnership and the significant role football plays in the development of young people.

“Entering the 2026 edition, we are proud to partner in an initiative placing young footballers first. Football is a powerful developmental tool—teaching vital life lessons in discipline, teamwork, and resilience through every victory and defeat,” said Ngcobo.

Ngcobo also challenged the participating teams to uphold the tournament’s legacy by making the most of the platform and striving to follow in the footsteps of players who have progressed through the development structures.

Among those who have featured in AmaZulu FC’s first team and reserve-team squads are Rocco Rocha and Thandanani Mhlongo, demonstrating the potential pathways available to young players who continue to develop and work towards their football ambitions.

SAFA eThekwini President Mazwi Mkhize also praised the Hollywood Foundation and the AmaZulu Community Trust for their continued commitment to youth football. He challenged stakeholders to build on the tournament’s success by creating opportunities for more graduates of the programme to progress into higher levels of the game.

As the participating teams prepare for the weekend’s action, the focus extends beyond lifting the trophy. The Hollywood Foundation Siyakhula U15 Cup remains an investment in the next generation of footballers, creating an environment where young talent can be identified, nurtured and given an opportunity to shine.

Winners in each category will walk away with the beautifully crafted floating trophy and a R10,000 cash prize. Individual awards will also be up for grabs, recognising the tournament’s standout performers for their exceptional talent, dedication and contributions throughout the competition.
