Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation
The Hollywood Foundation and Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation have joined forces to make a positive impact on communities across South Africa. Both organisations share a strong focus on the empowerment and upliftment of women, as well as giving back to the community.
Over the years, the two foundations have collaborated on several initiatives, including the #EmpoweringHER campaign, which runs throughout Women’s Month. This campaign has succeeded in shining a light on the hard work and determination invested in female-owned businesses in South Africa.
The Future is Bright bursary programme is another joint initiative that seeks to support and assist the youth in South Africa to achieve their academic goals. The Hollywood Foundation and Lighthouse Foundation recognise the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering the next generation to reach their full potential.
The Back to School campaign is another programme close to both organisations’ hearts. This initiative aims to provide learners with the necessary supplies to start their new school year with confidence and enthusiasm. By empowering learners in this way, the Hollywood Foundation and Lighthouse Foundation are investing in the future of South Africa.
In response to the July unrest, the two foundations have also partnered on the #HopeisPower campaign to assist communities that have faced hardships during these challenging times. Through this campaign, they have provided much-needed relief and support to those who need it most.
