Hollywoodbets Dunoon chose to support Ulutsha as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

This organisation runs wellness workshops for adolescent boys at Silverleaf Dunoon Primary. Their goal is to help reduce gender-based violence by working pro-actively with young boys to promote healthy masculinity. Their ultimate goal is to reduce violence by equipping boys with healthy social skills including conflict resolution skills. They first opened their doors in 2018.
Their wellness workshops are presented to over 100 learners, while their edutalks and campaigns touch the lives of more than 1 000 learners! The Hollywoodbets Dunoon Team felt that this was a great cause, and they wanted to support their community by getting behind Ulutsha’s good work. The Team hand delivered 100 new jerseys and 100 pairs of socks to the organisation.
Co-founder, Lesley Kretzmann, was thankful for the show of support.
“The jerseys and socks were part of our #warmheart campaign whereby we aimed to provide these young boys with essential items for winter. We don’t believe in hand-me-downs. For some of these boys this is the first new item they have owned and we believe in a small way this can promote self-worth,” she said.
