The Hollywood Foundation is excited to launch the 2026 KwaZulu-Natal Bambelela Business Awards, celebrating and honouring the outstanding work of local entrepreneurs across the province. The awards continue to recognise the profound impact that Small to Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) have on their communities and their important role in creating jobs and driving economic growth in the province.

The “Bambelela (Hold On) Your Dreams Are Valid,” theme, speaks to the resilience and determination shown by entrepreneurs who keep pushing forward despite the challenges they face. More than an awards ceremony, Bambelela offers support, guidance, visibility, and real opportunities for businesses working to grow and make a difference.

The two-day programme includes an Exhibition and Seminar, where selected SMMEs will present their businesses to a panel of judges through exhibitions or funding pitches. The judges will be looking for businesses that show strong potential, creativity, and a positive community impact.

Winners will receive a share of R1 million in funding, sponsored by the Hollywood Foundation which is another step in the Foundation’s commitment to backing local businesses and helping the province’s next generation of entrepreneurs thrive.

Qualifying SMMEs across KwaZulu-Natal are encouraged to apply and be part of the 2026 Bambelela journey.
