The Hollywood Foundation’s commitment to Community Development in South Africa continues to shine through its impactful CSI initiatives. Recently, the Foundation’s dedication was demonstrated in support of the We Care Community Project, an inspiring Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) based in Mabedlana Reserve, Ulundi. This organisation comprises of five dedicated women, who came together after the dire conditions exacerbated by Covid-19, driven by a profound need to address poverty and support vulnerable community members. Through their unwavering efforts, the We Care Community Project has become a beacon of hope, providing essential services such as food for orphans, unemployed individuals, and the elderly.
The Hollywood Foundation’s CSI programme has once again made a significant difference, thanks to the generous contribution facilitated by the Wavesoft Team. The contribution included sustainable items crucial for the daily operations of the We Care Community Project. This contribution featured pots, cutlery, dishes, cleaning equipment, a 30LT catering URN, and a 3-burner gas stove, all of which are vital for the continued success and efficiency of their community outreach programmes. The handover took place on 6 June 2024, a day marked by hope and gratitude as the Hollywood Foundation Team, Wavesoft Team, and other key stakeholders gathered to witness the positive impact of the CSI efforts.
Through these CSI contributions, the Hollywood Foundation and the Wavesoft Team have provided important resources and fostered a spirit of collaboration and community support. The We Care Community Project can now enhance its services, reaching even more needy individuals, improving the quality of life within Mabedlana Reserve. The Foundation’s investment in this community symbolises a shared commitment to making a sustainable difference and highlights the power of CSI initiatives to transform lives. The Hollywood Foundation remains dedicated to its mission, continually seeking opportunities to support and uplift communities across South Africa.
