Mpumalanga, 25 March 2024: The Hollywood Foundation announces the return of the Mpumalanga edition of the Bambelela Business Awards. These prestigious awards celebrate and honour the exceptional contributions of local entrepreneurs in the region, recognising their positive impact on communities and their role in job creation.
Under the inspiring theme “Bambelela (Hold On) – Your dreams are valid,” the Bambelela Business Awards aim to illuminate the extraordinary achievements of entrepreneurial talent in Mpumalanga. Beyond mere accolades, these awards serve as a supportive beacon for local visionaries on their entrepreneurial journey, providing tangible assistance and encouragement.
As part of the celebration, the awards will kick off with an Exhibition and Seminar, where selected small businesses can showcase their remarkable work. A panel of esteemed judges will evaluate entries, identifying businesses that demonstrate outstanding merit and impact. Winners will not only receive prestigious awards but also a share of R750 000 in funding generously provided by the Hollywood Foundation.

Application Details: Entries for the Bambelela Business Awards are officially open as of 25 March 2024. Qualifying companies are strongly encouraged to submit their entries online by visiting the Hollywood Foundation’s website at https://hollywoodfoundation.co.za before the submission deadline on 15 April 2024, at 23:59.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be at least 51% black-owned business
- Local business – registered and operating in Mpumalanga
- Formal and/or informal registered local business
- Business must be in operation for at least 12 months and have a proven track record of trading.
- Business Profile or clear description of the nature of the company/business
