#HopeIsPower – CANSA Association receives their food hampers

CANSA Association receiving their food parcels

The aim of the Cancer Association of South Africa is to assist those affected by cancer. It does this by offering a unique and integrated service to these individuals. The organisation enables research with regards to lowering cancer risk, educating the public regarding symptoms of cancer, screening and risk reduction and offering care and support to all individuals affected by this disease.

In the spirit of the #HopeIsPower campaign, Hollywoodbets sought to assist this organisation by donating eight hampers that contained essential supplies. The hampers were given to some members of the organisation at HUTS. Hollywoodbets also expressed a desire to nurture a good relationship with CANSA and aims to offer assistance and support in the future too.

Morne Holloway, a spokesman for CANSA, stated that the recent riots have had an adverse impact on the patients and caused them to experience more stress.
